Provost’s Honor List

Prepared at the end of each trimester (excluding optional trimester and OIP) by DigiPen (Singapore), the Provost’s Honor List officially recognizesand commends students, whose trimester grades indicate distinguished academic accomplishment. Both the quality and quantity of work done are considered.

Students must meet all the following qualifications in a compulsory trimester to be a recipient of this honor:

  1. Students must be matriculated/active.
  2. Students must be registered full-time in credit-bearing courses.
  3. Must be a full-time student, and complete 12 or more graded credits (no Pass/No Pass) in one semester.
  4. Only passing grades (4.0 [or “A”], 3.0 [or “B”], and 2.0 [or “C”] and 1.7 [or “C-]) in credit-bearing courses are counted for eligibility
  5. No failing grades: a grade of “D” (or 1.0 quality points), and “F” (or 0 quality points) in any course makes the student ineligible, regardless of other grades.
  6. Minimum GPA of 3.5 is required
  7. Any courses that do not count towards the degree are excluded.
  8. Pass/No Pass credits are NOT counted when calculating qualifying credits.
  9.  ”Incomplete” grades will be evaluated after they are made up. The student must have qualified for the Provost’s Honor List before and after the “Incomplete” grade was made up.

The student’s cumulative grade-point average is not considered; only the grade-point average for that trimester is relevant.

Students must submit their academic withdrawal appeal via registrar.sg@digipen.edu within two business days from the time they receive their academic suspension email in their DigiPen email account.

Appeal For Refund of Tuition

Students who would like to file an appeal against a decision regarding their tuition refund shall file a written request to the Accounting.sg@digipen.edu. If dissatisfied with the decision of the Accounting Department, students may file a second appeal with the Chief Financial Officer.

Other Disputes

Students who feel that they have any other type of dispute with the Institute should first try to address the issue with the person or department they are having the issue with. If the student is unable to resolve the issue directly with the individual or department they are working with, then they may reach out to the Dean of Arts/Dean of Science for academic/faculty concerns. If the student is still not satisfied with the decision, they may file an official complaint to the Chief Financial Officer (for finance related issues) or the Provost (for all others). A copy of this complaint shall be given to those involved with the dispute. Once the decision of the Provost is determined, students may submit a final appeal by contacting the President of the Institute.

Filing A Complaint With an External Party

A student may file a complaint with an external party should they feel that the Institute has not adequately addressed a complaint or concern after they have followed the institute’s Process for Grievances and Appeals
